Update on Charles "Otter" Tripp. He has been released from the hospital and is home recovering.

 Hey Guys Chas Tripp is now in Jess Perrish, 4th floor Rm 422. Prayers needed Spoke with him he seemed in good spirits will take calls and visitors. He has blood clots and they are trying to thin to keep from heart and brain. Send a card if you care.

Here is the information on the services for Boomer. Viewing will be Wednesday (July 30) from 5-7 pm at Rockledge Memorial Gardens, on US1 in Rockledge.
Service will be 10 am on Thursday (July 31) at Rockledge Memorial Gardens.
Refreshments afterwards at American Legion Post 163 in Melbourne at US 1 and Aurora.

I visited Jerry and Susie yesterday and Boomer was so happy to see us. He has to whisper when he answers you. Hope you will go see him. The smile on his face tells how much it means to have a friend stop in.

I have updated the calendars for AMVETS Post 34, VFW Post 4228 and AL Post 22. Check them out for upcoming events. Looks like lots of things will be happening for the month of July.

As you all know we provide food at our meetings at Amvets Post 34 Palm Bay. Our meeting is July 13th. We will do deli/cold cut sandwiches, chips and dip, and any side dishes anyone would like to bring. Please email Salmander at "ralessard@aol.com" and let him know what you can bring.

Amvets Post 34 on May, 26th., Mon., Memorial Day, starting after the Parade, around 1pm or so, we're having Dawgs, no, not Lucky,--Ha-Ha! & Burgers & all of the fixins'. Covered dishes are most welcome. Music from Barefoot Brenda! YEA!! It sounds like another great day at the AMVETS! Well so far everyone seems to be getting better. Thanks to all you RATS for your Prayers and cards. Don't give up now, better does not mean WELL Linda Boreske still has issues, Radioman still doing treatments, Boomer, looking better but still under treatments Mudsoldier (Bill) was at our last meeting with lot's of info on our POW's and MIA's, Keep your prayers coming for those so we can get them home again. Otters hanging in. Love all you guys and keep up the good work RATs. Woody

Big Al and Rose are going to host a big Garage Sale on June 21st and 22nd at Mobile World. Anybody/everybody is welcome to come sell their goods (multi-home yard sale). This is not for the River Rats but for the members of the River Rats to do their house cleaning and have a garage sale. It will be advertised on Facebook and Craigslist. Mark your calendars.
