First reunion. The camaraderie is unbelievable. The River Rats that organized and led the Memorial for Big Al Diaz on Tuesday and the hosted the rib dinner on Wednesday did an outstanding job. A compassionate Rat member gave up his rib dinner ticket to me as I hadn’t purchased one in advance. Great food and a wonderful event. I am so thankful to be a Rat member and to be your chaplain is a wonderful experience.

Today I am saddened by the passing of Big Al Diaz,one of the founders of the River rats. Al passed at 8:30 this am thoughts and prayers go out to Rosebud and his family.
